I looked into and obsessed over the Japanese Kei trucks. I also researched other ideas such as trailers (both cargo and horse)... and even a trolley and a double-decker bus!
(I'm not kidding!)


In the end, I knew we needed to start small, so here we are today, running a bookshop that will operate as a booth at local small business events until we have enough saved to invest in a trailer! 


The goal is to purchase a large trailer to fill with a wide range of books, with enough room for large groups of readers to be comfortable inside shopping, while maintaining functionality and aesthetics!


Currently, Sierra Vista and surrounding towns do not have a dedicated book retailer to provide new books. There are a handful of used bookstores, but we have to rely on two big-box retail stores to purchase a newly released book in person.


There is demand for local access to more newly released books without having to order online.


The unmet need for a wider range of new books, with the current small selection at the local big-box stores and no big bookstore chains nearby in this area of Southern Arizona, means we aim to be the independent bookstore that bridges that gap!
